4 minutes of splendor!

Hee hee. Thanks Landon! By the way, I fixed my cable release. It was a broken wire. I cut out the bad part and soldered in the shorter cable, and it works like a dream again.

I had the same issue with one of my simple push-slide ones. I took it apart at the break and added 10 feet to it for another option. Now I use it for vehicle mounts, top of a monopod, etc. Broken wires are pretty easy to fix if you can get at them. Cool.

I actually have a very long extension for these cable release cords for when I need to get away from the camera. It's about 30 feet I think. I bought it in case I needed it for the owl shoot in Hokkaido last year, but never needed it. I could use that if I needed a long release though. I personally think the standard Canon remote timer cable release's cables are a little too long for normal use. I've always wanted to lop 20 cms or so off of mine, so this was a good time to do it.
